|I was reminiscing about the days when there was only one Palmer College (shows my age or as my daughter kindly says, “Your wisdom.”). I remember walking around campus and seeing epigrams on the walls. I would read ideas like,
“You never know how far reaching something you think, say or do today, will affect the lives of millions tomorrow.”
“Get the Big Idea and all else follows.”
For many of us, deciding to become a chiropractor was our big idea. Imagine how many lives we have already touched as a collective. It was concepts like the preservation of health is easier than the cure for disease that inspired me to want to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. It was said,
“Medicine is the study of disease and what causes man to die.
Chiropractic is the study of health and what causes man to live.”
There is no effect without a cause. Chiropractors adjust causes. Others treat effects. We will explore big ideas like these together. Let’s understand the philosophies from which chiropractic was birthed. Hopefully you will be re-inspired by this healing art and connect to WHY we chose to dedicate our life to it.
