Iowa CE Requirements for 2020
CCE Hours is a PACE Recognized Provider ensuring all continuing education courses meet the highest standards. Each course has a PACE course ID number, which will appear on the “Certificate of Attendance” that is awarded immediately upon completion of a course.
Iowa Continuing Education Requirements: 40 hours biennially due by June 30 in even years
Iowa Accepts 20 hours of Online Continuing Education Courses
Iowa Accepts 20 hours of TeleSeminar Continuing Education Courses
Special Requirements: 36 hours must be taken in courses that directly relates to clinical case management of Chiropractic Patients (Must do at least 20 hours of these clinical case management of Chiropractic Patients at live, in person events while you can do 16 Online). Must take a minimum of 2 hours per biennium in professional boundaries regarding ethical issues related to professional conduct that may include but are not limited to sexual harassment, sensitivity training and ethics. Must take 1 hour in the content of Iowa Administrative Code.
Every five years, a class on child abuse and dependent adult abuse.
If the Chiropractic Physician is engaged in the practice of Acupuncture, a minimum of 12 hours per biennium of acupuncture continuing education is required.
New Licensee Information: A new licensee is exempt from the continuing education requirement except for 2 hours in the Iowa Administrative Code
Reporting Requirements: Licensee affirms CE completion – additional documentation required if audited
